Lamine Yamal explains how Spain can beat England in Euro 2024 final
- Lamine Yamal has been one of Spain's star performers at Euro 2024

- Yamal reveals his excitement for the 'dream final'
Lamine Yamal says Spain can beat England in the Euro 2024 final by continuing their impressive run in the tournament so far.
La Roja have won every game they have played in Germany this summer, with the 17-year-old emerging as their leading figure with a goal and three assists. Wing partner Nico Williams has also impressed with Rodri, Fabian Ruiz and Dani Olmo starring in midfield.
Spain have the chance to win a fourth European Championship which would take them clear of Germany as the outright most successful team in the competition's history and Yamal says he is excited for the spectacle.
Speaking to Marca, he said: "A dream final, especially with England in front. Everyone wants to play matches like that. Now what we want is for the cup to end in Spain.
Asked how Spain can have success on Sunday night, he added: "Playing the way we are doing, like against Germany or France. Being ourselves, having the ball and controlling the game at all times. I think we are the best at that and nobody can stop us if we do that.
"It is clear that as a team there is no one like Spain, playing the ball, going for the pressure. We are doing very well. In the end, putting that intensity in is key. Without it you cannot win a Euro final."
Spain breezed past Croatia 3-0 in their group opener before securing 1-0 wins over Italy and Albania to set up a last-16 clash with Georgia. They ran out 4-1 victors in that fixture before besting Germany and France to reach the final.
They face an England side who have spluttered their way through Euro 2024 but looked more improved in the dramatic semi-final success over the Netherlands.
