Leganes vs Barcelona: Preview, predictions and lineups
- Barcelona aiming to avenge December defeat when they face Leganes on Saturday
- La Liga leaders saw winning run end against Real Betis last week
- Leganes fighting against relegation and are two points adrift of safety

La Liga leaders Barcelona are aiming to avenge their December defeat to Leganes when they travel to the Spanish capital on Saturday night.
Barca's sole blip of Hansi Flick's impressive debut season arrived at the end of 2024, with their defeat to the relegation-threatened Leganes coming during a run of one La Liga win in five. They ended the year on a sour note, but have been utterly imperious since.
Flick's side remain unbeaten in 2025, although their winning run was halted by the in-form Real Betis last weekend. Still, a 1-1 draw meant they gained a point on Real Madrid, who lost at home to Valencia.
In the week, Barca all but secured their place in the Champions League semi-finals by thumping Borussia Dortmund 4-0 in Catalonia.
Leganes have troubled La Liga's aristocracy this term, with half of their victories arriving against the division's current top seven. However, they enter Saturday's game 18th in the table and two points adrift of safety.
Here is 90min's guide to the clash.

Leganes team news
Leganes have lost two players to ACL injuries for the season, including former Rangers defender Borna Barisic, who made just one La Liga appearance before succumbing to his long-term injury. Enric Franquesa is also sidelined.
Sergio Gonzalez was the match-winner back in December, and he'll start in the hosts' defence on Saturday.
Playmaker Dani Raba is the side's leading scorer in La Liga with seven goals, and he'll likely operate behind a front two of Juan Cruz and Diego Garcia. Raba and Garcia scored in Leganes' defeat at Real Madrid two weeks ago.

Barcelona team news
Barcelona's convincing victory on Wednesday means Flick may not rotate as much as some might've projected for Saturday night's game. Still, the German manager could make several changes to his team, offering the likes of Lewandowski, Pedri and Lamine Yamal respite.
Ferran Torres, Gavi, Gerard Martin and Ronald Araujo may all be back in the side, while Ansu Fati earned minutes in the week. Andreas Christensen has returned from a lengthy layoff and could appear off the bench.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen is closing in a comeback, but Barca are without Marc Bernal and Marc Casado for the rest of the season.

Leganes vs Barcelona score prediction
While Leganes should take confidence from their December triumph, they did benefit from facing a Barcelona team that were in a bit of a rut. The same certainly can't be said heading into Saturday's tussle in the capital.
Flick's going to rotate, but Barca's players in reserve have proven their worth this term. The hosts have been a tough outfit this season, and they've beaten Atletico Madrid on home soil, but they almost certainly won't be able to contain this Barcelona team again.
Prediction: Leganes 0-2 Barcelona
