Leny Yoro thanked the Manchester United coaches for helping him immediately settle into life at the club after making his first appearance for the club.
Just 48 hours after his move from Lille was made official, Yoro was handed his first start in Saturday's friendly against Rangers, playing the first 45 minutes of the eventual 2-0 victory.
After the game, Yoro admitted he was thrilled to get his first minutes under his belt.
"My teammates helped me a lot and the staff made me feel comfortable on the pitch," he said. "We are together, so for me, it is very good.
"For me, it was incredible. It was a very good game from the team and I am happy with my performance. I hope we continue like that."
After naming Yoro in the starting lineup, manager Erik ten Hag discussed his excitement towards getting a deal for the Frenchman over the line.
"I think [exciting] is the right word; it is very exciting for him and for us," he said before the game. "We are so pleased that we have signed him.
"He is a huge talent and we are really looking forward to working with him, to build him and you could see, on the pitch yesterday in the training drills, that he is so comfortable, so we are really excited about him."
United head to the United States next week to continue their pre-season tour.
"Of course, we go to America on Wednesday and we will have three competitive games," Yoro added. "The fans will be there, I know, and the team will give everything to win those games."
