Liverpool predicted lineup vs Everton - Premier League
- Liverpool host Everton on Wednesday night
- Both clubs have enjoyed an extended international break
- Arne Slot has some fitness issues to manage

The 246th Merseyside Derby certainly has its work cut out if its to live up to the 245th iteration, with Liverpool playing host to their local rivals on Wednesday night.
Reds supporters have enjoyed themselves throughout 2024/25, but the March international break arrived at an opportune time for Arne Slot's side. A hectic schedule had finally taken its toll, with a penalty shootout exit to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League arriving just days before Newcastle ended their 70-year wait for a major domestic trophy at Liverpool's expense.
Slot's side are thus only playing for the Premier League title down the stretch, but their position at the summit remains a commanding one. They have the chance to edge closer to glory by beating their bitterest rivals.
Here's how Liverpool could line up for Wednesday's Merseyside Derby at Anfield.
Liverpool predicted lineup vs Everton (4-2-3-1)
GK: Alisson - The Brazilian returned from international duty early after suffering a concussion, but Alisson is back in training and expected to feature against the Toffees.
RB: Jarell Quansah - Trent Alexander-Arnold remains out due to an ankle injury, while Joe Gomez is closing in on a return. Conor Bradley could be back in the squad, but Quansah will get the start if the Northern Irishman isn't ready just yet.
CB: Ibrahima Konate - Konate certainly had a role to play in James Tarkowski's stoppage-time equaliser six weeks ago, and he'll match up against the physical channel-runner Beto again on Wednesday.
CB: Virgil van Dijk - Van Dijk asked for calm and perspective after Liverpool's tough week before the break, and he'll be an imperative presence down the stretch.
LB: Andy Robertson - The experienced left-back is not the dynamic operator he once was and is the weak link in this Liverpool team. Still, he's often been preferred to Kostas Tsimikas.
CM: Ryan Gravenberch - Gravenberch was another injury doubt heading into this game after withdrawing from the Netherlands squad, but he's back in training and seemingly ready to go.
CM: Alexis Mac Allister - A scorer in the reverse fixture, Mac Allister racked up plenty of air miles over the break but is likely to continue in midfield given his importance to Slot's side.
RW: Mohamed Salah - After news of Alexander-Arnold's likely exit dropped during the break, greater anxiety surrounds Salah's Liverpool future. The Reds' March blip showed that they currently can't survive when their Egyptian king isn't firing.
AM: Dominik Szoboszlai - Arda Guler's arch-nemesis has been superb this season, and although one of Slot's midfield options could enjoy more rest with Curtis Jones available, Szoboszlai is unlikely to drop out of the team.
LW: Cody Gakpo - Liverpool desperately need Gakpo to rediscover his pre-injury from pretty sharpish, because the Dutchman refused to shake off the rust before the break. Only Luis Diaz and Salah have scored more Premier League goals for the Reds this season than Gakpo.
ST: Diogo Jota - Jota was poor during his run of starts, but Diaz and Darwin Nunez's South American travails may convince the manager to give the Portuguese international another chance to end his scoring rut on Wednesday.
