Manchester City are seeking safe passage to the FA Cup fifth round on Saturday when they face League One outfit Leyton Orient.

Having fired eight past Salford City in the third round, the Cityzens will be aiming to pour similar misery on Leyton Orient this weekend as they attempt to reach a third successive FA Cup final.

Keen to bounce back from their 5-1 thrashing at Arsenal before meeting reigning European champions Real Madrid in the Champions League play-offs next Tuesday, Pep Guardiola will demand victory from a second-string XI.

Here is how Man City could line up on Saturday.

GK: Stefan Ortega - First-choice stopper Ederson missed the defeat to Arsenal with a minor injury but is unlikely to feature at Brisbane Road even if passed fit. That means Ortega will start again, unless Guardiola is brave enough to chuck Scott Carson into the lineup.

RB: Rico Lewis - Matheus Nunes has been utilised at right-back with varying degrees of failure during recent outings, but Lewis should return to the starting lineup against League One's sixth-placed side.

CB: Abdukodir Khusanov - Following a horror debut against Chelsea, the Uzbekistani defender should be offered fewer issues against Leyton Orient. He could make up part of an incredibly inexperienced rearguard.

CB: Vitor Reis - The Brazilian is yet to make his Man City debut following a winter switch from Palmeiras, with Saturday the perfect opportunity for the 19-year-old to earn some game time.

LB: Nico O'Reilly - The versatile midfielder could be deployed at left-back as Man City continue to struggle with depth in that particular department. He started the third round massacre of Salford.

DM: Nico Gonzalez - Another who could be handed his Man City debut is January deadline day signing Gonzalez, who arrived from Porto for £50m. The Cityzens will be desperate for him to make an immediate impact given Rodri's long-term absence.

RM: Savinho - While always a dynamic presence on the flanks, Savinho still needs to improve his consistency levels. He could produce a confidence-boosting performance against third-tier opposition.

CM: James McAtee - McAtee starred in the third round with a hat-trick and is slowly growing in prominence on the blue half of Manchester. He will want to impress Guardiola with another dazzling display.

CM: Ilkay Gundogan - With the likes of Mateo Kovacic, Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva likely rested for next week's clash with Real Madrid, the waning Gundogan could start on Saturday.

LM: Jack Grealish - Grealish has been limited to cameos and cup appearances this term as his Man City career fizzles out. He has just six goal contributions - half of which came in the third round of the FA Cup.

ST: Divin Mubama - Mubama made his Man City debut in the win over Salford and opened his account following a summer switch from West Ham United. The 20-year-old will be keen to add to his tally on Saturday with Erling Haaland almost certainly given the afternoon off.
