Man Utd predicted lineup vs Burnley today - Premier League
- Man Utd are looking to build momentum ahead of the FA Cup final in May
- Red Devils beat Sheffield United 4-2 at Old Trafford in midweek
- Erik ten Hag still struggling with a mountain of defensive injuries
Manchester United will be aiming to make it back-to-back wins in the Premier League this weekend when they host Burnley at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag's side saw off a spirited Sheffield United on Wednesday evening, winning 4-2 largely thanks to the quality of Bruno Fernandes. It wasn't the most convincing display having twice fallen behind, but it was a significant win nonetheless following their Wembley struggles last Sunday.
Man Utd are still without a whole host of injured stars for the visit of struggling Burnley this weekend and former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany will be looking to get one over on his old rivals. The Clarets put four past Sheffield United in a big victory last Saturday and will be hopeful of causing an upset against the unpredictable Red Devils as they fight for survival.
Here is how Man Utd could line up against Burnley.
Man Utd predicted lineup vs Burnley (4-2-3-1)
GK: Andre Onana - After his howler against the Blades, the Man Utd stopper will be desperate to play out the rest of the season with no more costly errors. Regardless of his recent gaffe, he will start here.
RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka - The tough-tackling full-back won't expect to do too much defending on Saturday, but Man Utd's recent defensive woes suggest that he may be called upon more than he would like against the Clarets.
CB: Casemiro - While both Jonny Evans and Raphael Varane could return this weekend, Casemiro will be utilised at centre-back if the duo aren't passed fit. The Brazilian hasn't been bad in a new role, but Ten Hag will still want his specialist defenders back soon.
CB: Harry Maguire - The England international is chasing a goal in three successive games when he faces Burnley, with two impressive headers in recent clashes with Coventry City and Sheffield United.
LB: Diogo Dalot - The Portuguese offered some great attacking threat down the left flank on Wednesday night and came close to finding the back of the net on several occasions.
CM: Scott McTominay - Christian Eriksen was largely ineffective against the Blades and could be replaced by McTominay. The Scot isn't overly impressive in a holding role, but should provide some attacking threat from central areas.
CM: Kobbie Mainoo - After another mature display from the youngster against Sheffield United, Mainoo is pretty much the first name on the team sheet these days.
RM: Alejandro Garnacho - The Argentine continues to be the liveliest attacker and should have had at least one goal on Wednesday. His creativity and ingenuity is key for the Red Devils.
AM: Bruno Fernandes - The skipper stepped up when Man Utd needed him most on Wednesday, dispatching a lovely penalty and producing a stunning winner from range. He even found time for a neat assist late in the game.
LM: Marcus Rashford - The winger was a doubt in midweek and missed out, but he could return to the fold on Saturday. With Antony still in mediocre form, Rashford's return can only be positive.
ST: Rasmus Hojlund - He didn't do much at Old Trafford on Wednesday, but he did finally get back on the scoresheet after a long drought. Maybe that will be the confidence boost he needs to finish the season well.
