Man Utd prepared to listen to transfer offers for entire squad - with only 3 players 'off limits'
- Man Utd squad could undergo major surgery this summer
- Red Devils open to offers for first-team stars like Marcus Rashford with young trio off limits
- Rashford has been linked with PSG as their replacement for Kylian Mbappe
Manchester United are willing to listen to offers for most of their first-team squad during the summer transfer window, according to a report.
There is set to be plenty of change at Old Trafford in the next few months with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos running football operations and a lot of deadwood needs to be shipped out after a disappointing second season under manager Erik ten Hag.
Few players at Man Utd have impressed consistently during 2023/24 and The Telegraph now claim they will consider realistic proposals for almost all of their squad.
That includes hometown hero Marcus Rashford, who has been singled out repeatedly for his loss of form after smashing in 30 goals in all competitions during 2022/23. While it is understood United are not 'actively seeking to offload' a player of Rashford's ilk, the club hierarchy would give a legitimate offer 'genuine consideration'.
The Athletic's David Ornstein adds United's preference is to keep Rashford and help the England international get back to his best, but they will not stand in the 26-year-old's way if he desires a new challenge.
Rashford still has more than four years to run on his current deal and his wages on top of a hefty transfer fee could prove enough to scare off any potential suitors. Paris Saint-Germain are interested in him as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who will soon join Real Madrid.
This stance could also see the futures of established first-team stars like Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire come under further scrutiny in the future. In fact, only three players are believed to be deemed not for sale.
Young stars Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund have all shown their vast potential during an otherwise tough season and Man Utd hope to build a successful team around that exciting core in the years to come.
