Man Utd squad: Confirmed shirt numbers for 2024/25
- Erik ten Hag is still the Man Utd manager after difficult 2023/24
- Red Devils have parted ways with Raphael Varane, Anthony Martial & Aaron Wan-Bissaka
- High-profile summer signings have been assigned numbers for 2024/25
2023/24 was a campaign of indifference for Manchester United, but their FA Cup victory may well have saved Erik ten Hag's job.
INEOS are at the helm and have already overseen a sea of change within the club's hierarchy. There has been plenty of movement within Man Utd's first-team squad as well, with Ten Hag aiming to build upon the sturdy foundations he built in his first season but deserted in his second.
A busy summer has seen plenty of comings and goings, with the Red Devils' new signings having taken some historic Old Trafford numbers.
Here are United's squad numbers for the 2024/25 season.
Man Utd squad numbers 2024/25
Following Anthony Martial's departure on a free transfer at the end of last season, the much-desired number nine was up for grabs. That was swiftly snapped up by Rasmus Hojlund, who vacated the number 11 shirt in the process.
Elsewhere, there has been little movement in squad numbers for 2024/25 - except for Man Utd's new summer signings, of course.
Joshua Zirkzee is the owner of the number 11 left behind by Hojlund, while recent arrivals from Bayern Munich Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui have claimed number four and three respectively.
Manuel Ugarte has succeeded Jadon Sancho as the club's number 25.

What numbers can Premier League players wear?
Shirt number rules are relaxed in the Premier League. Players can wear any number between 1 and 99 as long as it's unique within their squad.
First-teamers will typically don shirts between 1 and 30, with goalkeepers typically taking either 1 or 13. Onana, however, bucked that trend last summer by taking 24.
Can Premier League players change squad numbers?
Players can change squad numbers, but not whenever they please. There do have a couple of windows throughout the course of the season, however.
Any switching of shirt numbers must be done before a specific deadline every season - 14 September on this occasion. Typically, this is when clubs submit their confirmed squad list for the upcoming season.
