Omar Marmoush is set to become one of the highest earners at Manchester City when his transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt is confirmed, according to German reports.

City's stunning slump this season has seen those in charge at the Etihad Stadium open the chequebook. Centre-backs Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis are due to arrive for over £60m combined, while Juventus right-back Andrea Cambiaso has been linked with a similarly expensive switch.

At the other end of the pitch, City have agreed a deal worth an initial £63.4m, plus a further £4.2m in bonuses, for Marmoush, who was left out of the Frankfurt squad on Friday evening as talks over his departure neared a conclusion.

It's a significant outlay, but City have also reportedly committed huge wages to Marmoush. Sky Sports Germany state he will earn close to £275,000-per-week at the Etihad Stadium - a huge increase from his purported £32,000 salary at Frankfurt.

Such a figure would put Marmoush among City's top earners. His primary competition for minutes, Erling Haaland, sits atop the charts with a weekly wage of around £500,000 after inking his mammoth new contract.

Kevin De Bruyne, Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva are all reported to be earning over £300,000 weekly, with Marmoush's salary said to be higher than Phil Foden, Rodri, John Stones and Ilkay Gundogan.

Having been left out of the Frankfurt squad on Friday, Marmoush joined in with his team's on-field celebrations and posted a photo on social media after the game with the caption 'Forever in my Heart'.
