The 2023/24 Europa League will see continental giants and aspiring underdogs duke it out for glory.
The addition of the Europa Conference League to UEFA's calendar has brought about new life to the Champions League's baby brother, with the Europa League only growing in prestige. The latest iteration of the competition saw the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal and Juventus compete in the knockout phase before perennial victors Sevilla bested Jose Mourinho's Roma in the final
Here are all the confirmed teams for next season's competition, as well as what pots they'll be in for the group stage draw.
2023/24 Europa League confirmed teams
Despite finishing 14th in the Premier League, West Ham secured automatic qualification into the Europa League group stages by beating Fiorentina in the final of last season's Conference League.
Liverpool and Brighton secured passage into the competition via their league position in the English top flight, finishing fifth and sixth respectively.
Sevilla ended the league campaign below both Villarreal (fifth) and Real Betis (sixth) but will compete in next season's Champions League after winning a record-extending seventh Europa League title. The latter two clubs will try to replicate the success of their La Liga rivals in the 2023/24 edition of the competition.
Roma lost the Europa League final to Sevilla in controversial circumstances but will have another crack at lifting the heavy vase after Juventus suffered their second points deduction of the season. Atalanta would have been involved in Europe's secondary cup competition regardless but were bumped up to fifth thanks to the Old Lady's indiscretions.
Both Freiburg and Bayer Leverkusen qualified for the Europa League on the final day of the 2022/23 Bundesliga season - although, Freiburg just missed out on the top four while Leverkusen benefitted from Wolfsburg's slip up against already-relegated Hertha Berlin to hold onto sixth place.
Rennes made it into Ligue 1's top four but it was only enough for the Europa League - given the French top-flight's lower UEFA coefficient - while Toulouse qualified for the competition for the first time in 14 years by winning the Coupe de France.
The Primeira Liga's fourth-best side Sporting CP round out the roll-call of clubs guaranteed a spot in the 2023/24 Europa League group stage.
Ajax's finish of second in the Eredivisie meant they had to come through a play-off tie with Ludogorets Razgrad. The likes of Olympiacos, Union Saint-Gilloise and Sparta Prague were also successful in that round.
