PHOTO: Mohamed Salah Poses With Reds Fans and Tells Them He Wants to Join Liverpool
Mohamed Salah's ongoing "Will he, won't he?" move to Liverpool has taken another turn after the Roma ace reiterated his desire to join the Premier League side.
The winger was pictured posing with two Liverpool fans after Egypt's 1-0 victory over Libya on Monday, via one of the aforementioned fans' Twitter account, and Salah allegedly told the pair of Reds fans - who are believed to also be Egyptian - that he was still holding out hope for a move to Anfield.
When asked if he would be joining Jurgen Klopp's team, Salah replied: "Inshallah (God willing)."
The latest revelation comes to light just 24 hours after Liverpool supposedly began to turn their attentions towards other targets after Roma began to dig their heels in over negotiations for Salah's services.
The Serie A giants are believed to be holding out for a fee in the region of £40m for the 24-year-old, and Liverpool's team of representatives are reluctant to part with that amount of cash to land Salah's signature.
Liverpool have also been linked with a possible move for Bayern Munich winger Douglas Costa and Sporting forward Gelson Martins since Tuesday morning as Reds fans become used to seeing their heads twisted and turned by the number of would-be summer targets that Liverpool are running the rule over.
Some fans and media outlets could claim that interest in the latter duo may be a way of forcing Roma's hand, but I Giallarosso are resistant to letting Salah leave for anything less than the asking price they have set.
Salah almost became a Liverpool player back in January 2014 when he was with Swiss outfit Basel, but the Merseysiders were trumped at the last minute as Chelsea snuck in to steal him from under their noses for around £11m.
His move to Stamford Bridge failed to gain traction in the end, and Salah has since plied his trade in Serie A - firstly with Fiorentina, then with Roma - on loan before he completed a permanent switch to the Stadi Olimpico in July 2016.
