Jude Bellingham 'a Signature Away' From Snubbing Man Utd in Favour of Dortmund Move

Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham is said to be 'a signature away' from joining

Borussia Dortmund this summer, despite serious interest from Manchester United.

The Red Devils have been pushing hard to convince Bellingham to head to Old Trafford this summer, with Sir Alex Ferguson personally reaching out to the 16-year-old to try and get the deal over the line.

However, Dortmund have also been putting in work, and reports in Germany have always been confident that they would win the race for his signature. There's no change to that now as Bild believe Bellingham has already agreed every detail of a move to Dortmund and now simply needs to put pen to paper.

Deals for both Bellingham and Paris Saint-Germain right-back Thomas Meunier and described as 'almost certain', even though the coronavirus crisis has forced the process to slow down.

A source has confirmed to 90min that United are confident that they have done enough to win the race for his signature, so it seems as though Bellingham has indicated a willingness to join both sides.

Both United and Dortmund expect the transfer market to be altered slightly once the coronavirus outbreak calms down, so it is possible that Bellingham's situation could change in a few months - but the two sides will likely continue to do all they can to recruit the teenager.

The Daily Mail also believe that Chelsea should not be discounted in the race for Bellingham's signature, although the feeling from elsewhere is that this is a two-horse race between United and Dortmund.

The Red Devils have identified Bellingham as one of their three top targets this summer alongside Jadon Sancho and Aston Villa's Jack Grealish, although a move for the latter is no longer a certainty after he crashed his car following a late-night party during lockdown.

The Mirror are one of several outlets to suggest Grealish's antics could impact a potential move to Old Trafford, with Ole Gunner Solskjaer regularly insisting that his players needed to show maturity and set an example for fans.

If United decide against a move for Grealish, sealing Bellingham's signing would be that much sweeter - though it's now anyone's guess where he ends up.
