AC Milan predicted lineup vs Inter - Champions League
By Tom Gott
AC Milan must overturn a 2-0 deficit if they are to avoid handing rivals Inter a place in the Champions League final when they square off on Tuesday.
A drop in form and an accumulation of injuries to key players has left Milan with an uphill battle but Stefano Pioli will not have given up hope and will demand a huge response from the Rossoneri at San Siro.
Here's how the boss could set up.
AC Milan predicted lineup vs Inter (4-2-3-1)
GK: Mike Maignan - This run to the semi-final has allowed casual followers of Milan to see just how good Maignan truly is.
RB: Davide Calabria - A hefty rest last time out against Spezia suggests Calabria will be Pioli's preferred starter on the right.
CB: Fikayo Tomori - Premier League clubs are keeping a close eye on Tomori, whose value could soar with a big performance here.
CB: Simon Kjaer - Kjaer appears to have commanded a starting spot at just the right time of the season.
LB: Theo Hernandez - Theo is one of the game's best left-backs and can make a real claim for that honour with a decisive showing against Inter.
DM: Sandro Tonali - Scouts from across Europe are keeping an eye on Tonali, who is one assist away from double figures in all competitions.
DM: Tommaso Pobega - Injuries to Rade Krunic and Ismael Bennacer could see 23-year-old Pobega given the biggest start of his career.
RM: Alexis Saelemaekers - This is an uncertain spot for Pioli, but injuries have left him with few options and Saelemaekers may get the nod as a result.
AM: Brahim Diaz - Shifting to a central role following Bennacer's injury, Diaz continues to prove his worth to Milan.
LM: Rafael Leao - Back in training on Sunday, Leao probably isn't fully fit but this game is so big that risks may have to be taken. Milan need him.
ST: Olivier Giroud - A classy performance in the first leg but Giroud will need to step it up even more if Milan are to secure a win.
