Al Nassr boss makes surprising prediction about Cristiano Ronaldo's future
Cristiano Ronaldo may have just signed a multi-year contract with Al Nassr, but the Saudi Arabian club's manager thinks he'll return to European football before he retires.
After he and Manchester United mutually agreed to terminate his contract at the end of 2022, Ronaldo left Europe to sign for Al Nassr. The 37-year-old signed a bumper deal with the Saudi Arabian side which makes him the highest-paid footballer in the world and lasts until 2025, 90min understands.
Given he'll be 40 by the time it comes to an end, it's widely expected that he'll retire at his new club, but manager Rudi Garcia isn't so sure.
The Frenchman thinks that the forward will play for a European club again before he hangs up his boots.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is a positive addition as he helps disperse defenders," he told reporters.
"He’s one of the best players in the world. He won’t finish his career at Al Nassr, he’ll go back to Europe.”
