Alvaro Morata has said that Juventus have not given up hope of winning the Serie A title, despite being some way off leaders Inter.

Prior to their game against Benevento on Sunday, Andrea Pirlo's side were ten points off the pace with just 12 games left to play. They are also out of the Champions League, losing to FC Porto over a dramatic two legs in the round of 16.

However, Morata, who is currently on loan at the club from Atletico Madrid, still believes that they can turn their season around and claim the Scudetto.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia (via Football Italia) before the Benevento game, he said: "We always believe, so as long as there are points up for grabs, we must try.

"The message of this team is that we have to try to win them all, or at least all that we can. We have another opportunity today to play at home and that means the three points must be ours.

"We need a great performance, to play with hunger and determination of a side that believes in the title and all its objectives."

Morata has performed well since rejoining Juventus at the beginning of the season, making 33 appearances in all competitions and managing 16 goals. He has also chipped in with 11 assists and worked hard for the team, particularly when deployed up front with Cristiano Ronaldo. Juventus have the option to purchase Morata for around €45m in the summer, though it is not yet clear whether they trigger this clause.

As well as continuing to fight for the title, the club also have the chance to win silverware in the Coppa Italia final. The Old Lady defeated Inter in the two-legged semis, earning the right to face Atalanta for the trophy in May.
