Andrea Agnelli resignation speculation denied
Various reports in Italy have denied speculation suggesting Juventus president Andrea Agnelli has tendered his resignation.
La Vecchia Signora's chief has been one of the driving forces behind the controversial Super League, which now appears to be on its knees after a number of clubs who had signed up - Chelsea, Manchester City and Barcelona included - signalled their intention to withdraw.
Their decision to pull out appears to have engineered an early exit from Manchester United for executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, with his resignation likely to be confirmed to the New York stock exchange before the end of trade on Tuesday.
Social media was then awash with rumours that Agnelli was following suit, now that the Super League - heavily criticised across the world - appears to be falling apart.
News of his departure appears to be premature though, with The Athletic's James Horncastle among those to tweet that he's not leaving Juventus - for now, anyway.
