Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Antonio Conte over the possibility of the Italian becoming the their new head coach, while former Juventus director Fabio Paratici also has an offer from the club.

The Italian boss guided Inter to their first league title in 11 years last season, but he controversially left the club following a disagreement with the owners over plans for the summer transfer window.

But Conte could be set to dive straight back into management, as Sky Sport Italia reports that he is in talks to become the new boss at Tottenham.

Fabrizio Romano adds that Spurs have also made an offer to Paratici, who worked with Conte during their time at Juventus.

Spurs are aiming to find a suitable replacement for Jose Mourinho, who was sacked by Daniel Levy in April. Ryan Mason took charge of the Carabao Cup final and the remaining Premier League games, guiding the north Londoners to Europa Conference League qualification.

Levy is aiming to restore Tottenham to a position in England's top four next season, and is keen to appoint the right man, following Mourinho's disastrous end to his tenure. Fan favourite Mauricio Pochettino has also been rumoured for a return to his former side, with suggestions he is unhappy with how current club Paris Saint-Germain is run behind the scenes.

But sources in Italy believe Conte is the one locked in ongoing negotiations with Levy, as he looks to make a return to the Premier League following his successful spell as Chelsea coach from 2016 to 2018.

The former Inter boss won the league title in his first year in England, and then delivered the FA Cup before being sacked at the end of the 2017/18 campaign. He then spent two years at San Siro, helping I Nerazzurri topple Juventus and become champions of Italy.

He walked away from the club upon learning that they would have to sell some key stars and slash the wage bill in the summer transfer window.
