Antonio Conte vs Mikel Arteta: Complete H2H record
Antonio Conte and Mikel Arteta manage big rivals in Tottenham and Arsenal, and have clashed with one another during their reigns at their respective clubs.
Arteta took the Arsenal job at the end of 2019 while Conte joined Tottenham in late 2021, with both tasked with helping their clubs finally win the Premier League.
The two have come up against each other twice since the Italian joined the Spaniard in north London, and there has been little to choose between them.
1. Tottenham 3-0 Arsenal (12/5/2022)
The first match between the two managers was a hugely important one, taking place at the back end of the 2021/22 Premier League season.
Going into the match four points behind with three matches remaining, Tottenham knew they really needed to win if they want to take the final Champions League qualification spot from their rivals.
It quickly became clear that they were going to do with Harry Kane giving the home side the lead from the penalty spot after 22 minutes and Arsenal's Rob Holding being sent off 10 minutes later.
Kane got another goal just before the break and Son Heung-min made it 3-0 to secure a huge victory that ultimately helped them clinch Champions League football for the following campaign.
Arteta was furious with the refereeing while Conte was furious with Arteta's complaining, with the two not getting off on the right foot to say the least.
2. Arsenal 3-1 Tottenham (1/10/2022)
Arteta picked his team up after they lost out on a top-four spot, and by the time the two sides met against a few months into the following season, Arsenal were looking like title contenders.
There'd be no better way to consolidate their credentials than with a win over their rivals at the Emirates, and that's just what they did.
The hosts dominated from the off and took the lead after 20 minutes courtesy of Thomas Partey. They weren't ahead for long though with Kane levelling things up from the penalty spot 11 minutes later.
Gabriel Jesus got his team back in front at the start of the second half and the contest was all but finished when Emerson Royal got sent off after an hour.
Granit Xhaka made it three one just after that to give Arteta a comfortable win over Conte in their secnd clash.
