The Gunners at last made the Emirates Stadium feel like a home and a fortress, racking up 84 points after leading the table for 248 days.
Mikel Arteta's men will be hoping to finish one place higher this time around.

Who will Arsenal play on the first day of the season?
Arsenal's campaign begins at home to Nottingham Forest in the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday 12 August.
Steve Cooper's side were on the end of a 5-0 humbling at the Emirates Stadium last season.

Who will Arsenal play on the last day of the season?
To round off the campaign, Arsenal will take on Everton in north London.
This was Arsenal's final game of the 2021/22 season - they beat Frank Lampard's men 5-1 that day.

When are the north London derbies?
For the 11th time in 12 seasons, Arsenal will host Tottenham Hotspur in the first north London derby of the season.
The Gunners make the journey down the other end of the Seven Sisters Road in late April.

When do Arsenal play Man Utd?
Manchester United are Arsenal's first big-six opponents of the season, with the Red Devils heading to the Emirates before the September international break.

Many onlookers thought Arsenal's title challenge last season began to falter when they threw away a two-goal lead at Liverpool in mid-April.
