Arsenal's bid to secure a first Premier League title since 2003/04 took a major hit on Sunday.

After Manchester City brushed past Leicester to pick up three points, the Gunners stumbled in response, throwing away another two-goal lead and succumbing to another 2-2 draw.

How will Mikel Arteta's men pick themselves off the canvas? Here's what lies ahead for Arsenal.

Despite sharing the spoils back in October, Arteta will view Southampton's rock-bottom league table position with a grin from ear to ear.

The duo are at separate ends of domestic proceedings, so anything other than a home win would have Man City supporters in 'pinch me' territory.

With the possibility of relegation looming around St Mary's, Ruben Selles will rely on his captain James Ward-Prowse to pull something out of his box of tricks to stun the league leaders.

The two title-chasers will battle it out in a potentially season-defining game.

Manchester City and Arsenal have been in a class of their own this term, with just four points currently separating the pair. Arteta is yet to register a win over his old pal and this fixture, the most important of them all, would be a great location for that first victory.

The clash of the London titans. Usually a nail-biting affair, things are tipped in Arsenal's favour after a series of errors both on and off-field for Chelsea.

The re-appointment of Frank Lampard on an interim basis has failed to make much of an impact and he lost his two meetings with Arsenal when previously in charge at Chelsea.

Another game where both sides are fighting to achieve the once-unthinkable; Arsenal for title success and Newcastle for Champions League football.

A goalless contest in January left a lot to be desired from two Premier League behemoths, but more is on the line this time, and a combination of nervous defences and hungry forwards leaves this game wide open.

Eddie Howe's side are stubborn in defense and Arsenal's frontmen will need to be at the peak of their powers if they wish to leave Tyneside on a positive note.

The league leaders then turn their attention to the Premier League's new darlings after registering four against them away from home on the last day of 2022. A six-goal affair lit up the Premier League and it wouldn't be surprising to see the same sort of goalscoring exploits when they two lock horns next month.

Brighton are in contention for European football with a squad full of talent and an innovative head coach in Roberto De Zerbi at the helm.

Five goals were the difference between the two teams in their October meeting, a game in which Forest registered zero big chances.

Steve Cooper's heavily reinforced Forest squad are on the cusp of relegation in 18th place while boasting the second-worst defensive record this season. With Gabriel Jesus back in the swing of things, Arsenal fans will be expecting a landslide.
