Arsenal are set to keep Gabriel Magalhaes and Thomas Partey this summer amid transfer interest in both players, 90min understands.

In his third season with the club, Gabriel was a rock at the back and played every Premier League game as the Gunners mounted a first Premier League title challenge in 15 years.

The Brazilian had been a £27m addition from Lille in 2020, but was suddenly linked with an exit this summer. 90min understands that his representatives were approached by intermediaries acting on behalf of the increasingly ambitious Saudi Pro League.

However, neither Gabriel nor Arsenal showed any interest in engaging in transfer talks. As such, the 25-year-old is set to remain in north London, where he has a contract until 2027.

90min understands that Partey is also not considered available by Arsenal. The Gunners had previously given permission for the Ghanaian midfielder to explore a transfer to Saudi Arabia, while the likes of Juventus and Fenerbahce have been linked more recently.

The midfielder’s preference was to remain in Europe rather than head to Saudi Arabia, but no European suitors were prepared to meet Arsenal’s asking price. He then joined the Gunners’ squad in pre-season and, by the latter half of July, the club were no longer looking to sell.

Another month on, 90min understands that Arsenal’s stance hasn’t changed and only an offer in the region of £50m would be enough to persuade the club to sell. Such a figure would represent a small profit on the £45m release clause that was triggered to sign Partey from Atletico Madrid in 2020.
