Barcelona face Sevilla on Tuesday night looking to close the gap on the teams chasing Champions League qualification above them.

The Blaugrana managed to emerge 3-2 victors over Elche on Saturday as their youngsters did the business in the absence of some of their more established and experienced stars.

With the likes of Ansu Fati, Sergi Roberto and Pedri out injured, here's the side manager Xavi could choose for Tuesday night.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Marc Andre Ter Stegen

Marc-Andre ter Stegen (GK) - Has produced one too many gaffes so far this season, though his manager has backed him in the build-up to this game.

Ronald Araujo (CB) - Turning into a steady and consistent performer for Barça. Has made 13 La Liga appearances this season.

Gerard Pique (CB) - Missed out at the weekend due to suspension. Should come back into the side, most likely in place of Eric Garcia.

Clement Lenglet (CB) - Could face the side he left for Barcelona in 2018. Probably hasn't reproduced the form that convinced his current club to fork out €35m for him.

2. Midfielders

Sergio Busquets (DM) - Still a mainstay at the base of Barça's midfield at 33 years of age. Loves a roulette in the middle of the park.

Frenkie de Jong (CM) - Barcelona's formation is a little all over the place at the moment and that hasn't benefitted De Jong, who needs a more stable position. He's been deployed in front of defence and behind the striker, but somewhere in between should serve him best.

Nico (CM) - Described by Xavi as a player who "has it all", Nico has scored in Barcelona's last two games, his latest being the winner against Elche.

Gavi (AM) - A goal and an assist against Elche showed that Gavi is happy to take responsibility for Barça's attacking play. He's only 17 but already a key player in Xavi's squad.

3. Forwards

Ousmane Dembele (RW) - The Frenchman's availability over the past month will have delighted Xaxi. He got his first goal contribution in the last game, setting up Jutgla's strike.

Ferran Jutgla (ST) - Was given the striker role with Luuk de Jong out of the squad against Elche and scored in the 16th minute. At 22 he's not as young as some of Barça's other current first teamers, but the opportunity could serve as a good springboard for him.

Abdessamad Ezzalzouli (LW) - The 20-year-old has impressed with two electric performances over the past week or so, scoring in the 2-2 draw with Osasuna.
