Barcelona vs Wolfsburg breaks attendance world record for women's football

Barcelona's 5-1 Champions League victory over Wolfsburg was played in front of a women's football world-record crowd of 91,648.
The Blaugrana ran out heavy winners in the first leg of the semi-final and put on quite the show at Camp Nou on Friday evening.
A brace from Alexia Putellas and goals from Caroline Graham Hansen, Jennifer Hermoso and Aitana Bonmati saw Barça ease their way to the win, while Jill Roord scored a consolation for the well-beaten visitors.
The figure at Camp Nou on Friday breaks the record previously set in Barcelona's 5-2 win over rivals Real Madrid in the previous round, where 91,553 people turned out to see Jonatan Giraldez's side romp to victory in March.
Before that Clasico, the highest attendance at a women's game was 91,185, which was set at the 1999 Women's World Cup in a match between the United States and China at the Rose Bowl in California.
A reported crowd of over 110,000 was said to have witnessed an unofficial World Cup game between Denmark and Mexico at the Estadio Azteca, though this is not recognised as an official match and so does not count towards any record.
