Barcelona have announced that winger Ez Abde has signed for Real Betis on a permanent transfer.
The Spanish champions have endured a busy deadline day having pushed hard to complete the loan signings of Portugal duo Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix.
Barca have had to clear their books in order to find financial wiggle room for their new signings. Defender Eric Garcia has joined Girona on loan while Ansu Fati has signed for Brighton & Hove Albion for the 2023/24 season, and the club have now also confirmed the departure of young winger Abde.
A statement from Barcelona read: "FC Barcelona and Real Betis Balompie have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ez Abde for 7.5 million euros. The former retains the right to buy back the player and 50% of any future sale.
"FC Barcelona wish to publicly express their gratitude to Ez Abde for his commitment and dedication and wish him every success in the future."
Abde featured twice for Barcelona at the start of the 2023/24 season and featured more prominently in pre-season.
He will now join up with a Real Betis side that will compete in the Europa League this season. They also completed the high-profile free signing of Isco earlier this summer.
