Bayern Munich won their fourth match in a row on Saturday afternoon as they brushed aside Hoffenheim 4-1 at the Allianz Arena, equalling the Bundesliga record of 57 goals scored after 19 games in the process.

The game started openly as Hoffenheim's Ilhas Bebou wasted two glorious opportunities to hand the visitors the lead. Inevitably, Bayern dominated the ball thereafter and made it count when Jerome Boateng headed home Joshua Kimmich's corner to open the scoring.

The hosts then doubled their advantage as Robert Lewandowski assisted Thomas Muller, only for Andrej Kramaric to halve the deficit a minute later.

In the second half, Hoffenheim again started the better and could have equalised through Christoph Baumgartner. But after he fired straight at Manuel Neuer, the hosts pounced as Kingsley Coman picked out Lewandowski at the back post for a tap-in.

Just six minutes later the Frenchman was creating again; this time teeing up Serge Gnabry to put the game beyond doubt. Benjamin Pavard was denied a cracking goal by VAR 20 minutes from time, and there was still time for Neuer to pull off a spectacular save from Marco John.

Here's how Bayern's players rated.

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Manuel Neuer (GK) - 6/10 - Made a crucial one on one save in the early stages and pulled off one of the saves of the season late on. Distributed the ball calmly, obviously.

Benjamin Pavard (RB) - 6/10 -
Had a bit of grief from Kramaric and was at fault for the goal just before half time. Improved in the second 45 and was even unlucky not to be on the scoresheet in the end.

Jerome Boateng (CB) - 8/10 -
The German scored his first league goal for over three years and was assured at the back throughout, making three clearances.

David Alaba (CB) - 6/10 -
Showed great commitment to his defensive duties, while also venturing forward to good effect at times.

Alphonso Davies (LB) - 7/10 -
Made several important touches in the defensive third, accumulating five ball recoveries. Used his electrifying pace to get forward and worry the Hoffenheim back line.

2. Midfielders

Joshua Kimmich (CM) - 8/10 - A brilliant performance from the midfielder, displaying phenomenal vision and crisp passing. Got the assist for the opener to take himself into double figures, while maintaining a pass accuracy of 90%.

Marc Roca (CM) - 5/10 -
His first Bundesliga start. The Spaniard looked tentative on the ball and gave it away sloppily several times.

Thomas Muller (AM) - 7/10 -
Found space with ease and got on the ball constantly to create chances. Bagged the second goal with a lovely finish from just outside the area to make it ten for the season.

3. Forwards

Serge Gnabry (RW) - 6/10 - Fairly quiet throughout, but finished neatly through Baumann's legs to end a baron run of one goal in 18 appearances.

Robert Lewandowski (ST) - 7/10 -
Found it difficult to get any space as the visitors closed him down constantly. His quality shone as fantastic footwork allowed him to set up Muller for the second and was rewarded with an easy tap-in for his 24th league goal of the season.

Kingsley Coman (LW) - 7/10 -
Bright throughout and regularly showed brilliantly quick feet. Unlucky not to score as Baumann denied him a couple of times, but grabbed two assists in the second half.

4. Substitutes

Jamal Musiala (CM) - 6/10 - Made a solid contribution by holding Bayern's shape well, also creating a chance with a good cross.

Leroy Sane (RW) - 6/10 -
Provided flair on the right flank and was unlucky not to have an assist for the disallowed goal.

Douglas Costa (LW) - 6/10

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (ST) - 5/10

Niklas Sule (CB) - N/A
