The Bayern Munich Lineup That Should Start Against Paris Saint-Germain

Bayern Munich can end a terrific 2019/20 season and assert their dominance over European football once again with a win against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final on Sunday.

Bayern struggled at the beginning of the season, but the appointment of head coach Hansi Flick has completely turned their fortunes around and they now look like world beaters once again. After thrashing Barcelona 8-2 in the quarter final, they comfortably dealt with Lyon in the semi-final with a 3-0 victory.

A win against PSG would see them successfully complete a treble of trophies, having already won the Bundesliga and DFB Pokal.

Here's how Die Roten should line up in order to secure the victory in Lisbon on Sunday.

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Manuel Neuer (GK) - Neuer was in between the sticks when Bayern won their last Champions League in 2013, making eight saves in the process. He'll need to be inspired form once again in order to nullify the likes of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria.

Joshua Kimmich (RB) - One of several Bayern players who are capable of looking world class in a wealth of positions, Kimmich will occupy the full back role in this one.

Jerome Boateng (CB) - The German went off injured in their semi-final victory, but is likely to be available once again for the final. He could be on his way out of Bayern imminently, but has the chance to win a second Champions League with them first.

David Alaba (CB) - Alaba has also been linked with a move away, but continues to excel out of position. Another versatile player, his transition into a centre back from left back has been seamless and keeps Niklas Sule out of the XI.

Alphonso Davies (LB) - The teenage Canadian has been a revelation and is the player on everyone's lips. Initially a winger, Davies has morphed into a full back at Bayern and has quickly become one of the best in his position.

2. Midfielders

Leon Goretzka (DM) - Goretzka has operated on a new level under Flick's tutelage. His efforts have seen him become an integral piece to the midfield at Bayern, which is what keeps Kimmich at right back.

Thiago Alcantara (DM) - As talk of a move away continues to rumble on, Thiago continues to play as a model professional and excel in the midfield. Arguably the best in his position on the planet, his technical abilities will be vital in allowing Bayern to dominate the game in a tense final.

3. Forwards

Serge Gnabry (RW) - Once deemed not good enough for West Brom by Tony Pulis, Gnabry now has the chance to lift Europe's ultimate prize with one of football's most historic clubs. The winger has enjoyed another stellar season and will be vital to Bayern's attack once more on Sunday.

Thomas Muller (AM) - Another player who looks reborn under new management, Muller was also a Champions League winner with Bayern in 2013. The German has evolved into the supplier and will no doubt look for a repeat of his stellar performance against Barça.

Ivan Perisic (LW) - He could've potentially made way for either Kingsley Coman or Philippe Coutinho, but Perisic just edges his way into the XI, having scored against both Chelsea and Barcelona. Coutinho and Coman remain solid super sub options.

Robert Lewandowski (ST) - It feels criminal that there might not be a Ballon d'Or for 2020, as Lewandowski had to be the man to win it. A ruthless goalscoring machine, he's bagged 55 goals in all competitions this season. 55. Sunday's final comes two days after his 32nd birthday, so a goal and a trophy would be the perfect weekend for him.
