It was business as usual for Bayern Munich at the weekend as they won at a ground where they've had a few difficulties in the past.

While Mainz threatened a recovery after falling 2-0 behind, Leon Goretzka's third put the result beyond doubt as Bayern secured a 3-1 win. Die Roten now travel to an unfamiliar environment in the Champions League with a tough trip to Galatasaray on the horizon.

Thomas Tuchel's squad is growing thinner thanks to the ever-growing list of Bayern absentees, with Raphael Guerreiroand Goretzka the latest to suffer injury setbacks.

Bayern's injuries leave Tuchel short-handed at several positions. Here's how the German manager could set his side up in the Champions League on Tuesday.

GK: Sven Ulreich - Ulreich made a stunning save in Saturday's win over Mainz, and with Manuel Neuer not yet returning to the fold, he's a sure bet to start on Tuesday.

RB: Noussair Mazraoui - Midfield injuries will force Konrad Laimer into midfield, so Mazraoui could come straight back into the starting XI after missing Saturday's game.

CB: Matthijs de Ligt - Dayot Upamecano's absence means De Ligt is a guarantee to start on Tuesday.

CB: Kim Min-jae - Tuchel has no other senior centre-back options to turn to. Kim will start alongside De Ligt.

LB: Alphonso Davies - The Canadian has shown flashes of returning to his most potent form at the start of the new season.

CM: Konrad Laimer - Laimer's intensity and grit will be on display in midfield on Tuesday after Leon Goretzka broke his wrist after scoring against Mainz. Goretzka's absence will be hard felt.

CM: Joshua Kimmich - Tuchel is also short-staffed in the middle of the park with Goretzka joining the injury list. Kimmich will partner Laimer and Bayern will need their skipper to exude calm in a hostile environment.

RM: Kingsley Coman - Coman is in one of those majestic purple patches right now, and with Serge Gnabry failing to make the matchday squad, the Frenchman will start down one of Bayern's flanks.

AM: Jamal Musiala - It wouldn't be a surprise to see Musiala rotated out on Tuesday, but the midfielder's magic from a #10 position cannot be replicated by Tuchel's alternatives.

LM: Leroy Sane - Sane's productive run came to an end at the weekend, but the German has been Die Roten's standout performer at the start of the 2023/24 season.

ST: Harry Kane - The England skipper added to his goal tally at the weekend, and despite Mathys Tel's promise, there's no chance Kane doesn't make the starting XI in Istanbul.
