Bayern Munich predicted lineup vs Gladbach - Bundesliga
- Bayern's Bundesliga campaign off to a perfect start against Werder Bremen & Augsburg
- Harry Kane, Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry & Kingsley Coman a lethal front four
- Gladbach unbeaten against Bayern in their last five meetings
Bayern Munich head to Borussia-Park on Saturday evening looking to end a miserable recent run of results against Borussia Monchengladbach.
There's not many sides who have the wood over the Bundesliga champions of the last 11 seasons, but Gladbach are unbeaten in their last five encounters against Bayern, winning three of those.
Gladbach's start to the 2023/24 season doesn't offer much encouragement when it comes to continuing that run, with seven goals shipped in their opening two Bundesliga games. Bayern have scored seven in that time, including three for Harry Kane.
Bayern are undoubtedly favourites but won't ease up on team selection against a side that can clearly cause problems. Here's the starting lineup Tuchel may plump for.
Bayern Munich predicted lineup vs Gladbach (4-2-3-1)
GK: Daniel Peretz - Bayern's hunt for a new goalkeeper recently came to an end when Peretz joined from Maccabi Tel Aviv, and the Israeli international could earn stake his claim for being Manuel Neuer's successor here.
RB: Noussair Mazraoui - Benjamin Pavard's departure to Inter has reinforced Mazraoui's status as first choice right-back.
CB: Dayot Upamecano - Has an error or two in the locker every game but frightening recovery pace, plus decent timing in the tackle, usually makes up for it.
CB: Kim Min-jae - The most expensive Asian footballer in history continues to keep Matthijs de Ligt out of the side, and that's unlikely to change here.
LB: Alphonso Davies - Looked at his menacing best against Augsburg, burning pace on the left flank to offer Bayern another outlet in attack.
CM: Joshua Kimmich - The German's long-term future at Bayern is uncertain but there's no doubting his place on the teamsheet unless Tuchel opts for rotation.
CM: Leon Goretzka - All the noise this summer has been about Bayern wanting to strengthen in central midfield, but the arrivals are unlikely to displace Goretzka.
AM: Leroy Sane - A freer role at the tip of Bayern's midfield has allowed Sane to roam in behind Harry Kane or out wide. Looks to be playing near his best already.
RF: Serge Gnabry - Interchanging with Sane has also elevated the game of Gnabry, who has scored 17 goals or more in all competitions in three of his last five seasons at Bayern.
CF: Harry Kane - Three goals in Kane's first two Bayern starts isn't bad going at all for England's captain. Looks to be settling into his new surroundings nicely.
LF: Kingsley Coman - The Frenchman is just as good cutting inside the full-back as he is steaming down the outside to the byline. A real favourite of Tuchel's.
