Bayern Munich predicted lineup vs PSG - Champions League
By Tom Gott
Bayern Munich will head to Paris on Tuesday for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against PSG.
Julian Nagelsmann's side are on a 19-game unbeaten run, which is their best streak since Hansi Flick's team reached 20 in January 2021, and they'll be feeling good as they prepare for a PSG side who have lost two on the bounce.
Here's how Nagelsmann could set up.
Bayern Munich predicted lineup vs PSG (4-2-3-1)
GK: Yann Sommer - Sommer will continue in the absence of the injured Manuel Neuer, whose relationship with Bayern is about as strong as his fractured leg at the moment.
RB: Joao Cancelo - Cancelo looks like a smart pick-up from Bayern, with the Man City loanee offering more in attack than Benjamin Pavard.
CB: Matthijs de Ligt - Reinventing his career in Germany after a tricky spell with Juventus, De Ligt won't have faced many tougher tests that PSG's star-studded forward line.
CB: Dayot Upamecano - Upamecano admits to modelling his game on Sergio Ramos, who will likely line up opposite him on Tuesday.
LB: Alphonso Davies - Davies will be determined to win the left-back battle with Nuno Mendes, who is one of the few players who can rival the Canadian when it comes to future potential in the position.
DM: Joshua Kimmich - Back from serving his domestic suspension, Kimmich will take up his usual role in midfield.
DM: Leon Goretzka - Goretzka has two goals and three assists in the Champions League this season, all of which came across two games against Viktoria Plzen.
RM: Serge Gnabry - Sitting second in both the club's scoring and assist charts, Gnabry should start here to help out Bayern's weakened forward line.
AM: Jamal Musiala - Only Musiala leads Gnabry in both those columns. The youngster really is a special one.
LM: Leroy Sane - Kingsley Coman has been seeing plenty of minutes in this position recently but expect Sane to step back into the starting lineup.
ST: Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting - With Sadio Mane injured and Thomas Muller doubtful, former PSG man Choupo-Moting could get another run-out against his old teammates.
