Bayern Munich set to complete signing from Chelsea
Bayern Munich are close to finalising a deal for Chelsea coach Anthony Barry, sources have confirmed to 90min.
Newly installed Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel worked with Barry during his previous Stamford Bridge tenure and made it clear to his new bosses that he wanted to bring him to Germany.
90min understands that 36-year-old Barry has told Chelsea of his desire to link up with Tuchel and talks are now nearing a conlusion.
Chelsea were upset by Tuchel's declaration of an approach for Barry before a deal had been agreed.
He had said upon being unveiled as Bayern coach: "We're hoping to add Anthony Barry, who is currently at Chelsea."
90min has been told that is one of the reasons the move has been delayed to this point.

Barry, who specialises in set-pieces, first arrived at Chelsea under Frank Lampard in 2020. But he was kept on by Tuchel and current Blues boss Graham Potter and has established himself as one of the most highly-rated coaches in Europe.
Now Barry has opted to head to the Bundesliga and Bayern hope a deal is tied up by the weekend.
Barry has not returned to Chelsea ahead of his anticpated move to Munich. He has spent the last week on international duty as he is also part of Roberto Martinez's Portugal staff. He joined up with Martinez in March, having already worked with him in the Belgium national team.
