Bayern Munich team news
There is massive uncertainty over a number of Bayern's squad members due to Covid-19 cases.
Manuel Neuer, Corentin Tolisso, Omar Richards and Kingsley Coman all returned positive tests on New Year's Day, with Lucas Hernandez, Dayot Upamecano, Tanguy Nianzou and Leroy Sane later suffering the same fate.
Bouna Sarr and Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting are both away on Africa Cup of Nations duty, though Joshua Kimmich has returned to training having struggled with coronavirus complications in recent months.
There are further fitness doubts over Niklas Sule, Leon Goretzka and Josip Stanisic.

Borussia Monchengladbach team news
Monchengladbach have some doubts over Keanan Bennetts, Denis Zakaria, Mamadou Doucoure and Joe Scally, all of whom tested positive before the end of 2021.
Ramy Bensebaini is representing Algeria at AFCON so will be absent, but Breel Embolo is fit again and Jonas Hofmann is getting closer to availability.
Bayern Munich vs Borussia Monchengladbach head-to-head record
Bayern understandably dominate the head-to-head stakes in this fixture, though they haven't always had it their own way against Die Fohlen.
They met earlier this season in the DFB-Pokal and it was Monchengladbach who earned an emphatic 5-0 victory as Embolo and Bensebaini both scored doubles alongside Kouadio Kone's second minute opener.
However, in this corresponding fixture last season Bayern ran out 6-0 victors as Robert Lewandowski scored a hat trick.
Bayern Munich vs Borussia Monchengladbach score prediction
The amount of potential absences is a big issue for Bayern, but thankfully for them Lewandowski and Thomas Muller - their two biggest goal threats - are fit and available.
Monchengladbach competed in the Champions League last season but their form this term doesn't suggest they'll be able to qualify for Europe's elite competition this time around.
It probably won't be as free-flowing as some of their performances this season, but Bayern should have enough to get over the line here.
Prediction: Bayern Munich 2-1 Borussia Monchengladbach
