Bayern Munich welcome an unbeaten Freiburg to the Allianz Arena this weekend in the Bundesliga as they look to maintain their red-hot goalscoring form.

Julian Nagelsmann's side backed up their 5-2 away triumph over Union Berlin last time out in the league with a similar scoreline in midweek against Benfica, sealing their place in the knockout stages of the Champions League in the process.

Freiburg, meanwhile, travel to Munich full of confidence after an impressive start to the season. Christian Streich's men are unbeaten in the Bundesliga this season - Bayern cannot say likewise - and have won six out of their last seven games in all competitions.

Here's everything you need to know about the game.

Bayern unsurprisingly hold the historical upper hand over Freiburg, although they haven't had it all their own way in recent years.

In fact, Bayern have won just half of their previous six meetings with Freiburg stretching back to the 2018/19 campaign.

The Bavarians won last season's meeting at the Allianz Arena, although they were held to a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture in May when Christian Gunter cancelled out Leroy Sane's strike in the second half.

Spearheaded by the irrepressible Lewandowski, Bayern are in frightening attacking form heading into this weekend.

Sealing qualification to the last 16 of the Champions League in midweek will afford Nagelsmann extra focus on his side's league efforts until February, with Saturday presenting a good opportunity to consolidate their place at the summit of the Bundesliga.

A talented Freiburg side will offer resistance, but expect Bayern to extend their winning run and end the visitors' unbeaten streak.

Prediction: Bayern Munich 2-0 Freiburg
