Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed that Evan Ferguson has signed a new long-term contract at the club.

The talented 18-year-old has been rewarded for his stunning breakout under new manager Roberto De Zerbi with a contract until 2028.

90min reported at the end of March that Bayern Munich, Napoli, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Liverpool and Barcelona all scouting the talented 18-year-old - the latter of which told 90min that they see Ferguson as a 'player of huge potential'. Despite said interest, Ferguson wasn't in a hurry to leave Brighton and has now committed his long-term future to the club.

Speaking to the club's official website, manager De Zerbi expressed his delight at the news that the Republic of Ireland has signed a new deal: “Evan’s contract extension is great news. He trains and plays like a senior player with many years of experience and has become an important member of the squad.
