Bruno Fernandes 'wants more' trophies with Man Utd after Carabao Cup triumph
Bruno Fernandes says he ‘wants more’ silverware after winning his first trophy for Man Utd.
The Portuguese star played his part as Man Utd comfortably beat Newcastle 2-0 at Wembley to lift the Carabao Cup at Wembley.
It was also the first trophy success at the club for new boss Erik ten Hag, and Bruno says he is already hungry for more.
“It's an amazing feeling," Bruno said. "We have been searching for this moment, the fans, the club are all together and finally we get our trophy. Deservedly.
“It has been amazing. The first trophy of the season by we want and need more. For me, it's about winning trophies and we did it. I am satisfied now as we got our trophy but I want more.
Man Utd had to survive a bright start by Newcastle with the Tynesiders hoping to earn their first domestic honour since 1955.
However, once they grew into the game there only really looked like one winner. Casemiro and a Sven Botman own goal soon afterwards handed them a commanding first half lead and they never once looked like relinquishing it.
Man Utd are still in the Europa League and FA Cup, as well as in strong contention for a return to the Champions League this season.
