By Chris Smith
The Canadian Men's National Team head to Slovakia on Tuesday for a friendly clash with Uruguay.
This is the penultimate match before the CanMNT begin their first World Cup campaign since 1986 and South American giants Uruguay are sure to offer a stern test of their credentials.
John Herdman's side head into Tuesday's fixture off the back of a 2-0 win over Qatar last week, thanks to goals from Cyle Larin and Jonathan David. The CanMNT head coach will, of course, be well aware of the threat posed by the likes of Luis Suarez and Darwin Nunez.

CanMNT team news
Larin's goal against Qatar took him to a record 24 for his country, two clear of Dwayne De Rosario. However, teammate Jonathan David remains in hot pursuit in third with 21 goals.
Alphonso Davies picked up a knock against Qatar but Herdman has looked to play down the severity of the injury, so we could see the Bayern Munich man feature in some form again here.
Uruguay team news
Uruguay avoided injury in their shock 1-0 loss to Iran last week so could name a strong XI in what is their final match before facing South Korea at the World Cup.
Record goalscorer Luis Suarez could go one clear of Edinson Cavani and Fernando Muslera as Uruguay's second all-time capped player, with the trio sitting on 133 at present. Ahead of them is defender Diego Godin on 159 caps.
CanMNT vs Uruguay prediction
Canada put in a remarkable World Cup qualifying campaign and looked impressive against Qatar, but facing opposition as illustrious as Uruguay will offer a whole different test.
The caliber of player within Diego Alonso's squad is on an entirely different level and this will be as close as Canada will get to experiencing what it'll be like to face Belgium and Croatia in Group F.
Of course, Herdman has plenty of quality at his own disposal and Canada will be competitive, but it's a tough ask for them to get a result against the 15-time Copa America champions.
Prediction: Canada 1-3 Uruguay
