Just one day before the Copa America 2024 final, Canada take on Uruguay at Bank of America Stadium to determine the competition's third place finisher.
As Argentina and Colombia prepare to face off in the Copa America 2024 final, Uruguay and Canada must settle for a third place match. Uruguay were bested by Colombia in the semi-finals while Canada suffered their second loss to Argentina at this summer's tournament.
Although both teams would rather be traveling to Florida to compete in the final, they must swallow their disappointment and compete for a consolation prize at Copa America 2024. Jesse Marsch and Marcelo Bielsa will have to navigate injuries and suspensions, though, as they deicide their lineups for the July 13 match.

Canada team news
Canada could be without their captain and best player on Saturday. Alphonso Davies sustained a leg injury in the semi-finals against Argentina, and was forced to come off the pitch in the 71st minute. Although his x-rays came back clear, Davies is still a doubt to even play in the third place match, let alone start.
If Jesse Marsch wants end this tournament on a high note, he will have a huge hole to fill should Davies be deemed unfit for the match.

Uruguay team news
After serving his one-game suspension in the semi-finals, Nahitan Nandez will return to Uruguay's starting XI for the third place match at Copa America 2024. The right-back is a welcomed sight for Uruguay's banged up backline; Ronald Araujo and Matias Vina are both injured and could not play against Colombia.
Nicolas de la Cruz also cannot participate in Uruguay's final match of the tournament after receiving a one-game suspension for yellow card accumulation, having been booked in both the quarter-finals and the semi-finals.
Rodrigo Bentancur suffered an injury in the semi-finals after colliding with his teammate, Mathias Olivera, and therefore will not be able to fill in for de la Cruz in the midfield.

Canada vs Uruguay score prediction
Despite Uruguay's disappointing performance against Colombia, La Celeste should be able to defeat Canada, a team with just two wins in their last seven games under Jesse Marsch. Uruguay's attack has looked stagnant in the knockout rounds, though, so the game could be a lot closer than people expect.
