What is 'Captains of the World'?
The new documentary will offer unseen footage from behind the scenes of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, specifically following the captains of each of the 32 teams that participated in the tournament.
The show will provide the usual interviews, dressing room footage and player interactions that are typical of a sports documentary, with the likes of Harry Kane, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo all at the centre of the action.
The official description of the series reads: "From the locker room to the pitch, this docuseries offers exclusive access to all 32 teams as they fight for football glory in the 2022 FIFA World Cup."

How to watch 'Captains of the World' and when will it be released?
Captains of the World will be available to watch on Netflix across the globe, fittingly, and will be officially released on Saturday 30 December 2023. There are six separate episodes to get stuck into, each around 45 minutes in length, all of which can be streamed upon the release of the docuseries.
The episodes roughly follow a chronological order throughout the tournament, climaxing with the final between France and Argentina in episode six.
