Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that Vinicius Junior's recent lack of goals does not concern him as he is doing 'very well' for the team.
Vinicius has only netted once in his last 10 games for Los Blancos, but he has still managed to produce some crucial moments this calendar year, especially in the Champions League.
Speaking before his side's trip to Osasuna on Wednesday night, Ancelotti revealed that he was pleased with how the Brazilian had developed this term.
"He (Vinicius Jr) doesn't seem to be obsessed with scoring goals," he said.
"He has the motivation to win for the team. He's doing very well. For me it's not important that he scores. Well, it's important, but not the most important [thing]."
A key aspect of Vinicius' rise this season has been his blooming partnership with Karim Benzema with the duo showcasing brilliant link-up play and creating plentiful goalscoring opportunities for each other.
Vinicius recently revealed what a difference Benzema has made to his game and decision-making process.
Speaking to UEFA in a recent interview, Vinicius hailed Benzema, saying: "[Karim]'s a great person: since the beginning, he's always given me support and confidence.
"But mostly it's about his tips on the pitch. It's a dream come true to be playing with him - someone I could once only see in video games! His quality is incredible. I've never played with a forward at the level he plays: he's different from the rest."
Real are closing in on their 36th La Liga title and could wrap it up as soon as the coming Sunday.
Los Blancos are currently on 75 points from 32 games, whereas Barcelona are on 60 points with 31 games completed. Sevilla and Atletico Madrid are both third and fourth on the league table respectively with 60 points from 32 games each.
