League-leading Celtic host third-placed Hibernian in the Scottish top flight on Saturday afternoon.

The Bhoys bowed out of the Champions League with a third group stage defeat at home to RB Leipzig on Tuesday night.

Ange Postecoglou bemoaned his side's blunt edge in front of goal for their European failings, a fault Hibernian's Lee Johnson leaned upon when explaining the midweek loss to Dundee United. Prior to Tuesday's setback, Hibs had enjoyed a four-match winning streak.

Postecoglou was quick to downplay the severity of the injury which forced Liel Abada off in the first half of Celtic's midweek defeat, insisting: "I don’t think it’s anything serious."

The 57-year-old reiterated the reassuring message for Jota's muscular problem, hinting that the Portuguese forward may be available this weekend.

Captain Callum McGregor, however, isn't going to feature until after the World Cup while he nurses a knee injury. Carl Starfelt (knee) and Yosuke Ideguchi (leg) are also struggling with fitness problems.

Rocky Bushiri has been sidelined with an ankle problem since August while Demetri Mitchell made his only appearance of the campaign in July.

The former Celtic academy graduate Aiden McGeady has been nursing a metatarsal fracture for the last ten weeks while backup goalkeeper Maciej Dabrowski is struggling with a shoulder injury.
