Chelsea & Arsenal interested in Barcelona target Vitor Roque
Chelsea and Arsenal are in contact with Vitor Roque's representatives regarding a future move to the Premier League, 90min understands.
The 18-year-old Athletico Paranaense striker is one of the most highly-rated young players in South America and recently made his senior debut for Brazil in March.
90min reported last month that Barcelona were leading the race to sign Roque, having been thoroughly impressed with his performances for Brazil during the Under-20 South American Championships - a tournament in which the forward bagged six goals in eight games.
Due to Barcelona's precarious financial position however, sources have confirmed to 90min that the club are currently only able to propose a loan with a future obligation to buy. This offer has not convinced Roque's current team, opening the door for others to declare their interest.
Two such clubs are Arsenal and Chelsea, with both having held interest in the player for a considerable amount of time already. 90min understands that the two London sides are willing to offer a permanent transfer this summer.
Although Barcelona remain the forward's preferred destination, his representatives have assured Arsenal and Chelsea that Roque is open to the idea of moving to the Premier League

Speaking to O Globo recently, Roque admitted that he feels ready for a move to Europe.
“I definitely feel prepared to play in Europe. I’m working for it, and I’m focused on getting there as prepared as possible," he said.
