Chelsea want to build up a run of form after their chaotic victory against Tottenham on Monday night but face one of the toughest tests in world football as Premier League leaders Manchester City visit on Sunday.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has struggled to settle on a regular starting XI this season, partly due to poor performances and a carousel of injuries. That being said, he may not look to change too much from the win over Spurs given there are limited options elsewhere.

These players will have their work cut out at Stamford Bridge this weekend but there is undoubtedly talent in the squad, with some new arrivals showing decent form.

Here is the team Pochettino may choose when Chelsea host Manchester City on Sunday.

GK: Robert Sanchez - It still stands out as a slightly unusual signing but Pochettino seems happy with Sanchez in goal and having a consistently picked goalkeeper really helps a defence.

RB: Reece James - He didn't play the whole game against Tottenham amid ongoing fitness concerns but James should start in this big game.

CB: Axel Disasi - One of the more impressive summer signings, Disasi is still keeping Benoit Badiashile out of the team despite the latter returning from injury.

CB: Thiago Silva - His experience will be really important in a game like this and in terms of ability he just doesn't seem to age.

LB: Levi Colwill - He was used in this role against Tottenham over Marc Cucurella and with another tough opponent up next, Pochettino may make this conservative choice again.

CM: Moises Caicedo - The chatter over Caicedo's performances has quietened after a rough start and he is starting to settle into his role as a regular for the Blues.

CM: Enzo Fernandez - There is a chance Fernandez does not recover in time for this game, but Pochettino will certainly put him in the midfield if fit.

RW: Cole Palmer - Palmer has made a good start to life at Chelsea and will be feeling confident ahead of the chance to show what he can do against the club he left late in the summer.

AM: Conor Gallagher - His place will be under threat when Christopher Nkunku returns to the fold, but for now Gallagher is the chosen attacking midfielder for Pochettino.

LW: Raheem Sterling - Another former Man City player, Sterling will also have a point to prove especially as his move to Chelsea has not gone exactly to plan so far.

ST: Nicolas Jackson - It's an incredible thing to score a hat-trick and also not play very well, but Jackson managed it against Tottenham. He must build on those goals now but it will be hard against Man City.
