Chelsea have struck a deal to buy the majority of a plot of land next to Stamford Bridge as they continue to try and bring their stadium redevelopment plans back to life.
The Blues initially struck a deal with veterans housing group Stoll back in 2018 to obtain the plot of land as part of their vision to expand Stamford Bridge but, after seeing their plans fall through, the agreement was abandoned as well.
Five years later and, after a public voting process, Chelsea have once again tied up a deal to obtain the land.
"Today we have announced that we have confirmed a sale in principal, of the majority of our Fulham site to Chelsea FC ownership group, subject to resident consultation which begins today," a Stoll statement read.
"The proposed sale would enable us to establish new properties and better services for veterans."

The land, which stands at around two acres in total, sits directly between Stamford Bridge and Fulham Broadway, and initial plans for the stadium expansion saw Chelsea look to build over the plot.
Chelsea's owners, the BlueCo group fronted by Todd Boehly, have publicly pledged to reignite the redevelopment plans and appear to now be stepping things up.
The central location of Stamford Bridge has proven to be problematic when it comes to building work, with Chelsea forced to operate in limited space. Boehly has ruled out taking Chelsea to a new site and has vowed to focus his efforts on improving the current ground.
With a full stadium rebuild likely on the cards, Chelsea have explored potential ground-share deals with various clubs across London when work eventually begins on the current Stamford Bridge site.
