Chelsea vs Newcastle - Premier League: TV channel, team news, lineups and prediction
- Chelsea host Newcastle in the Premier League on Monday
- The Blues are seeking revenge for the 4-1 defeat suffered at St James' Park this term
- Both sides have a long list of key absentees
Chelsea play host to Newcastle United in the Premier League on Monday night as they look to close the gap on Eddie Howe's side.
The Blues failed to beat their west London neighbours Brentford last time out after only managing a 2-2 draw at the Gtech Community Stadium and Mauricio Pochettino's men are currently languishing in 11th - behind the likes of Wolves, Brighton and West Ham United.
Newcastle have been in mixed form in recent weeks, securing a 3-0 home victory against Wolves last time out. But the Magpies will feel confident heading to Stamford Bridge this Monday given they hammered Chelsea 4-1 in the reverse fixture back in November.
Chelsea can move within a point of Newcastle with victory, but the Magpies will be aiming to move an impressive seven points clear of the Blues on Monday night.
Here's 90min's preview of the game.

Chelsea team news
Chelsea have not been able to shake their injury woes all season and Pochettino is still without a whole host of key players for Monday's match-up. The Blues could be missing ten players for the Magpies' visit, with the likes of Wesley Fofana, Reece James and Romeo Lavia still sidelined with long-term issues.
Ben Chilwell misses out with a knee problem, while Benoit Badiashile and Levi Colwill are also absent across the backline. In midfield, Lesley Ugochukwu is still sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Carney Chukwuemeka is closing in on a return but will likely miss out on Newcastle and Conor Gallagher should be back after illness. Christopher Nkunku, who has had a raft of fitness concerns, will again have a watching brief - the Frenchman is not expected to return until after the March international break.

Newcastle team news
Newcastle have had plenty of injury concerns of their own over the course of the campaign, with the Magpies potentially without seven players for the trip to Stamford Bridge. Of course, one of those is Sandro Tonali, who is still suspended for breaching betting regulations.
Nick Pope is still missing between the sticks after dislocating his shoulder earlier in the season, while Joelinton and Callum WIlson are both set for significant spells on the sidelines with thigh and pectoral injuries respectively.
Kieran Trippier is the latest casualty for Howe after the right-back suffered a calf injury against Wolves last time out, but fellow full-back Matt Targett could be back on the bench after several months out of action. Lewis Hall is unavailable as he can't face his parent club Chelsea.

Chelsea vs Newcastle score prediction
With both teams hopelessly inconsistent this season and injuries continuing to wreak havoc in both dressing rooms, a draw might be a safe bet for Monday's clash. Chelsea and Newcastle have had troubles defensively and in attack, and there are likely to be goals at Stamford Bridge.
The last meeting between the teams finished all square in west London in the Carabao Cup and there may be little to separate the sides this time round. Chelsea are in greater need of a result, with pressure furiously piling on Pochettino in the dugout.
