Colorado have typically lined up in a 4-2-3-1 shape for most of Armas' tenure thus far. Armas will more than likely stick to his guns and pick a similar starting lineup with veteran defender Lalas Abubakar slotting into the backline after Moise Bombito's transfer to Ligue 1 club OGC Nice.
Here's how the Rapids could lineup vs LAFC.
Colorado Rapids predicted lineup vs LAFC ( 4-2-3-1 )
GK: Zack Steffen - The 29-year-old is coming off one of his best performances as a Rapids player with four saves against America.
RB: Keegan Rosenberry - Rosenberry keeps his place at right-back as he nears 200 appearances for the team.
CB: Lalas Abubakar - As Bombito has departed MLS for Ligue 1, Abubakar looks set to hold on to the left center-back position for the foreseeable future alongside Maxso.
CB: Andreas Maxso - The Denmark international starts in the center of the backline alongside Abubakar.
LB: Samuel Vines - Armas has relied on Vines throughout the 2024 campaign and will look to do so once again vs LAFC.
DM: Connor Ronan - Ronan has filled in nicely as a defensive midfielder, keeping things in check in front of the backline.
DM: Cole Bassett - The 23-year-old has shined this term by pulling the strings from a deeper-lying position with Mihailovic playing in a more advanced role.
RM: Omir Fernandez - Fernandez will have to be careful against LAFC after picking up a yellow card in 70 minutes played vs America.
AM: Djordje Mihailovic - Colorado's No. 10 shoulders the chance-creating responsibilities in the final third, aiming to play through balls into Rafael Navarro's path.
LM: Jonathan Lewis - Lewis has enjoyed a quiet yet solid season and will look to play his part by getting on the scoresheet vs LAFC.
ST: Rafael Navarro - Navarro has been in sold form with two goals in hist last four matches and he'll have to make the most of his chances if the Rapids are to upset LAFC and reach the final.
