Colorado Rapids return to action this weekend to face off against Philadelphia Unionin the Leagues Cup third place match at Subaru Park.

The Rapids simply couldn't keep up with LAFC despite keeping the Black and Gold out of the net for nearly the entire first half -- that was until Mateusz Bogusz broke the deadlock with a lovely strike into the far bottom corner. Kei Kamara would add a second on the stroke of halftime, and it was all LAFC from that point on

Chris Armas' team will look to flip the script against the Union as the winning team will take part in the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup. The Rapids will likely stick their 4-2-3-1 setup and you can expect to see a similar team that took on LAFC with no new injuries or suspensions in the team's camp.

Here's how Armas' side could lineup against Philadelphia.

GK: Zack Steffen - The experienced goalkeeper was one of the few Rapids players that could hold their head up high after the LAFC defeat. However, there's no getting around conceding four goals and he'll look to change that against the Union.

RB: Keegan Rosenberry - Rosenberry struggled last time out against the electric Denis Bouanga and thankfully the Union don't exactly have a player with the same pace coming down the left-hand side.

CB: Lalas Abubakar - Abubakar (and the entire Rapids defense) couldn't keep up with the dynamic LAFC attack but they should be able to go toe-to-toe with the Union.

CB: Andreas Maxso - Like Abubakar, Maxos will also want to put in a much better performance in the backline against Philadelphia after a poor showing on Wednesday night.

LB: Sam Vines - Vines got into a few good attacking positions against LAFC but left a lot to be desired on the defensive end.

DM: Connor Ronan - Ronan forms a midfield partnership alongside Bassett that should fare better against Philadelphia compared to their performance in the semi-finals.

DM: Cole Bassett - The versatile midfielder looks set to take on a deeper-lying role playing just behind Mihailovic and just in front of the backline.

RM: Omir Fernandez - Fernandez struggled to make an impact from out wide against LAFC but Armas doesn't have many other options in the winger department.

AM: Djordje Mihailovic - Colorado's No. 10 leads the charge once again, hoping to have a much better impact in the final third against a rigid Philadelphia defense.

LM: Jonathan Lewis - The 27-year-old is very much in the same boat as Fernandez and could lose his place in the team once Kevin Cabral returns to fitness.

ST: Rafael Navarro - The Rapids' leading goalscorer in MLS action leads the line once again, looking to get on the scoresheet.
