Current MLS Cup champions Columbus Crew hope to book a place in the Leagues Cup final when they take on Philadelphia Union at Lower.com Field.

Columbus haven't slowed down since their MLS Cup victory back in December under new head coach Wilfried Nancy as the team is now at the doorstep of another final. The Crew came so close to lifting to the Concacaf Champions Cup earlier this year but were ousted by Liga MX side Pachuca, and the Eastern Conference team will hope to improve their chances of silverware in 2024 with a win on Wednesday night.

Nancy will look to stick with his preferred 3-4-2-1 setup that has seen the Crew become one of the best teams in the region with the likes of Diego Rossi and Juan 'Cucho' Hernandez making up the attack. Columbus look very much like a well-oiled machine when they're on form, and Nancy won't want to make too many changes from the team that won against NYCFC.

Here's how the Crew could lineup against the Union in the Leagues Cup semi-finals.

GK: Patrick Schulte - The USA international makes his second start in between the sticks since returning from the Olympic Games.

CB: Steven Moreira - Moreira keeps his place in the Crew backline, locking down the right-hand side of the defense.

CB: Rudy Camacho - Nancy's right-hand man anchors the center of defense and will look to put in a better performance after his late pass that led to NYC's early goal in the quarter-finals.

CB: Evgen Cheberko - Cheberko continues his run at left center-back with Malte Amundsen waiting for his chance should the opportunity arise.

RWB: Mohamed Farsi - The 24-year-old gets the night at right wing-back, looking to put in another shift to lead the Crew to victory.

CM: Sean Zawadzki - The defender-turned-midfielder has excelled in the middle of the park alongside Nagbe, and he'll need to keep impressing to help Columbus to silverware

CM: Darlington Nagbe - Columbus' captain anchors the midfield alongside Zawadzki, aiming to reach the final to add to his trophy cabinet.

LWB: DeJuan Jones - The ex-New England Revolution player has enjoyed a rather seamless transition to life with the Crew as he slots in at left wing-back.

AM: Christian Ramirez - The veteran forward is set to feature as an attacking midfielder once again playing just behind Hernandez.

AM: Diego Rossi - Rossi starts alongside Ramirez forming a threatening three-pronged attack that could make life difficult for the Union defense.

ST: Juan Hernandez - The Crew's No. 9 will aim to make it back-to-back games with a goal in order to give his side the best chance at reaching the Leagues Cup final.
