Crystal Palace considering Roy Hodgson contract extension
Crystal Palace are considering extending the contract of manager Roy Hodgson after being stunned by his work in recent months, 90min understands.
75-year-old Hodgson returned to Selhurst Park in March following the dismissal of Patrick Vieira, signing a contract until the end of the season to hand Palace time to find their perfect replacement.
While that search has been going on behind the scenes, Hodgson has led Palace well away from the relegation battle on a run of five wins and a draw in eight games, scoring 15 goals off the back of excellent performances from the likes of Michael Olise and Ebere Eze.
Owner Steve Parish has been left thoroughly impressed by Hodgson's work and 90min understands the current boss has made it clear he would relish the chance to remain at Selhurst Park for at least another 12 months.
Parish, who has conducted plenty of work looking for a new manager, is now giving serious consideration to keeping Hodgson around.

Hodgson, who planned to step away from Premier League management following his departure from Watford in the summer of 2022, has exceeded expectations during his short spell with Palace and is set for further talks about his future.
With their Premier League safety now secured, Palace's focus is on preparing for the coming season. New contracts are being planned for the likes of Olise and Eze, while talisman Wilfried Zaha will also have a decision to make.
Like Hodgson, Zaha's deal expires in the summer but 90min understands Palace are confident of tying the 30-year-old down to a new contract in the coming weeks.
