It's very easy to quantify just how good a footballer Dani Alves has been, as it's quantifiable by one key stat:

Dani Alves holds the record for most trophies won by a footballer, ever.

During his 20-year career in Brazil, Spain, France and Italy, Alves has won every single competition you could name.

The UEFA Champions League, Serie A, La Liga, Coupe de France - you name it, Alves has probably won it.

So with that in mind, we thought we'd take a look at the very best trophies Dani Alves has won throughout his astonishing career.

1. UEFA Cup (2x)

Years: 2005/06, 2006/07

The first of Dani Alves' many, many titles in Europe came during his spell at Sevilla.

Alves won two UEFA Cups (now called the Europa League) with Los Nervionenses, beating Middlesbrough (yes, Middlesbrough) in the first final before seeing off Espanyol in an all-time classic the following year.

2. Copa del Rey (5x)

Clubs: Sevilla, Barcelona
Years: 2006/07, 2008/09, 2011/12, 2014/15, 2015/16

The UEFA Cup wasn't the only trophy Alves won at Sevilla, as with a win over Getafe he collected his first of five Copa del Rey winners' medals in 2007.

Following his big money move to Barcelona, Alves would win the trophy another four times - even beating Sevilla in a dramatic final in 2016.

3. La Liga (6x)

Club: Barcelona
Years: 2008/09, 2009/10, 2010/11, 2012/13, 2014/15, 2015/16

While Alves didn't win a La Liga title at Sevilla, he managed to win a fair few at Barcelona.

Between 2008 and 2016, with Alves, Lionel Messi, Xavi and co. in their ranks, Barça were the team to beat in Spain.

The team that managed to win three consecutive titles between 2008 and 2011 under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola were particularly special, and Dani Alves was a big reason for that - particularly during the 2010/11 season in which he bagged himself 15 assists from right-back. Astonishing.

4. UEFA Champions League (3x)

Domestic success with Barcelona was great, but it was in the Champions League where Alves became a true footballing legend.

Alves and Barça were the best team in Europe during the early 2010s, winning three Champions Leagues during that period.

The standout season of this dominance was 2010/11, where Barça made pretty much every team they played look like a bunch of amateurs. They were that good.

5. UEFA Super Cup (4x)

Years: 2006, 2009, 2011, 2015

As with most competitions, the UEFA Super Cup was a happy hunting ground for the Brazilian.

Alves won three of his four career appearances in the Super Cup.

6. FIFA Club World Cup (3x)

After conquering Europe with Barcelona, it was only right that Alves would conquer the world too.

And that's exactly what he did in 2009, 2011 and 2015, winning the FIFA Club World Cup every time he played in it.

7. Serie A (1x)

Year: 2016/17

Alves and Juventus were a match made in heaven in 2016/17.

Having left Barcelona following eight trophy-laden years, Alves moved to perennial Scudetto winners Juve and won another league title.

The Brazilian was used as a right-midfielder by Max Allegri at Juventus and it proved to be a masterstroke, as Alves was arguably the club's best player that season.

8. Coppa Italia (1x)

One season with Juventus = two domestic trophies with Juventus.

Juve were a domestic double-winning machine in the mid-2010s, and Dani Alves proved to be key to the double in 2016/17 - even scoring in the Coppa Italia final win over Lazio.

9. Ligue 1 (2x)

Alves would follow up his single season at Juventus with two at PSG - where he obviously won another two league titles.

PSG waltzed to the league title in both these seasons, scoring a rather ridiculous 213 goals in Ligue 1 while Dani Alves was on the books.

10. Coupe de France (1x)

Here's a great trivia question for your next pub quiz:

'Who did PSG and Dani Alves beat in the 2017/18 Coupe de France final?'

The answer: Les Herbiers VF.

The win secured PSG's fourth consecutive Coupe de France and Alves' seventh domestic cup winners' medal.

Yes, PSG were absolutely brilliant in Alves' first season at the club, winning a domestic treble.

12. Campeonato Paulista (1x)

Year: 2021

After a brilliant career in Europe, Alves finally returned home to Brazil in 2019 with Sao Paulo.

It wasn't too long before Alves' winning mentality rubbed off on his new teammates, as Sao Paulo secured their first Campeonato Paulista since 2005 in 2021 thanks to the leadership of their superstar full-back.

13. Copa America (2x)

Trophies were slightly harder to come by for Alves at international level, but his two Copa America triumphs with Brazil will undoubtedly be two of his favourites.

The first came way back in 2007, when the full-back scored a memorable goal in a 3-0 win over arch-rivals Argentina in the final.

Alves would have to wait 12 years for another Copa America triumph, but it was no doubt worth the wait. In front of their home fans Alves and Brazil saw off Peru in the final.

14. Olympics (1x)

Nation: Brazil
Year: 2020

Alves added a historic Olympic goal medal to his already very, very full trophy cabinet in 2020.

At 38 years old, Alves rolled back the years to deliver some outstanding performances throughout the tournament and inspire Brazil to only their second Olympic gold in men's football ever.
