EA FC 25 Rush: Features, rewards, Ultimate Team integration

EA FC 25 Rush deep dive premiered July 29 highlighting the new mode coming to the popular video game franchise.

Rush is a new five-a-side game mode coming to EA Sports FC 25. The game mode features unique elements new to the franchise that will connect key pillars of the franchise including Ultimate Team and Clubs. Ultimate Team specifically hasn't received a new game mode since Draft (not including the party playlists in Friendlies), so Rush if implemented correctly will give players another option compared to the competitive environments of Rivals and Champions.

EA FC 25 Rush: Game mode breakdown

If you're a fan of five-a-side tournaments like Kings League or TST, Rush is for you. Games kick off with a special cannon launch where the ball is launched into the center circle with both teams vying for first possession. EA Sports altered the offsides rule as well in the mode to accomodate faster paced gameplay.

Red cards have also been removed in favor of Blue Cards. If a player receives a blue card, they'll be removed from the game for a short period of time creating an advantage. Scoring a goal will return the player to the pitch faster. Games are quick and there's zero fatigue so stamina won't be an issue. In the case of a draw, there will be a Golden Goal period and new penalty shootout feature.

All games will be played in a custom designed stadium from Nike, the Nike Air Zoom Arena.

EA FC 25 Rush in Ultimate Team

Players in a co-op session seemingly bring in a player item and control them for the full game. There is also a Rush Points system that players will earn while playing the game mode.

EA Sports did not further break down how Ultimate Team will be fully integrated. Expect more information when the Ultimate Team Deep Dive is released in August.

EA FC 25 Rush in Clubs

Clubs has similar integration, but of course players will control their own Clubs player. Results are prioritized over individual performances. Winning games will earn special points and experience.

EA FC 25 Rush in Career Mode

Rush is integrated in Manager Career. Players can try Rush while growing their youth academy talent. No other details were announced in the video.

EA FC 25 Rush Quick Chat

Quick Chat is a brand new communication system using simple and quick messages. Think of it like Rocket League's quick chat system. "We hope that Quick Chat enables players to swiftly express reactions and emotions following key moments in a match, from acknowledging a well-placed assist to commiserating over a missed opportunity," EA Sports said.
