- EA have already announced some new changes to Career Mode
- Some of the best young players to sign include Real Madrid trio Bellingham, Vinicus Jr & Guler
As we wave goodbye to the FIFA video game franchise, a new era dawns for football fans across the globe.
EA Sports FC 24 will release on 29 September and promises to be pretty similar to past iterations of FIFA, with many beloved features and game modes sticking around. One of those is Career Mode which allows you to take charge of any playable club in the game and lead them to glory.
While actually playing the games is pretty fun, we all know the best part of Career Mode is signing new players, especially young talents with the potential to become the world's best under your tutelage and control.
With that in mind, here are the best young players to sign in EA Sports FC 24 Career Mode.
Goalkeepers
Easily the least fun position to recruit for in Career Mode, but arguably the most important. As you don't manually control the goalkeeper, there's not a lot of excitement at bringing in a new number one, but it can be the difference between success and failure.
Porto's Diogo Costa would be a great addition to any squad, albeit he will set you back a significant sum given his high initial rating. A slightly cheaper alternative could be Valencia's Giorgi Mamardashvili who should cost around the £20m-£30m mark, but offer similar quality.
Looking a little closer to home, there are two exciting young options in the Championship. Illan Meslier of Leeds United and Southampton's Gavin Bazunu both have huge potential ratings.

Guillaume Restes | Toulouse | 18 |
Full-backs
In terms of right-backs, Manchester City's Rico Lewis is one of the standout candidates, although prising him away from the Etihad will be incredibly expensive. Tino Livramento is another top-quality young right-back in the Premier League, while Ivan Fresneda, now of Sporting CP, could also be a top pick with a high potential.
There are some pretty well-known players among the top young left-backs including Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies and Paris Saint-Germain's Nuno Mendes, both boasting blistering pace. A little more left-field is perhaps Luca Netz of Borussia Monchengladbach who would be a more affordable option.

Midfielders
Depending on what system you play with, you may not need some of these guys. Unless you play a 4-4-2 narrow diamond, there are not many formations that require a CDM (central defensive midfielder), CM (central midfielder) and CAM (central attacking midfielder).
Unsurprisingly, Chelsea currently possess three of the most exciting midfield youngsters in EA Sports FC 24 - Romeo Lavia, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez - all of whom have potentials of 83+.
Real Madrid also possess three highly-coveted wonderkids in Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga and Arda Guler, while Gavi and Pedri also come with crazy overalls and potentials for Barcelona.
A little more affordable are the likes of Rayan Cherki of Lyon, Eric Martel of Koln and Alan Varela of Boca Juniors.

Strikers
Signing that 50-goal-a-season striker isn't always straightforward, but these players should make it fairly simple.
In the Bundesliga you have the choice of Borussia Dortmund's Youssoufa Moukoko, Bayern Munich's Mathys Tel and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko, all of whom could be your starting striker for the next ten years of your Career Mode journey.
Options are few and far between in the Premier League bar Evan Ferguson and Rasmus Hojlund, but Mohamed-Ali Cho at Real Sociedad and Vitor Roque at Barcelona (from 2024 onwards) give you options from La Liga.
